Condolence: We were so sorry to hear about Doug. He was such a good man. Always a ready smile. Thinking back over the years, they had such good friends and had so much fun. We remember saying that we hoped we would have as much fun when we got older. One of my favourite memories is "the Ponderosa". I remember going to town with Mom and Dad and seeing the roof painted.. I thought how cool it was that the Fitzmaurices had named their place after my favourite tv show. It wasn't until years later that I found out it had been a joke, one of numerous jokes that gang of friends played on each other. So it is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to another of that gang.
We have both known your parents for our whole lives and they were both some of the nicest people we have been lucky enough to know and occasionally be part of our lives. Please accept our sincere condolences. Hopefully the memories will bring you some comfort.

Condolence: Very sorry to learn of the passing of a wonderful man. We both have fond memories of Doug, Ted from summer jobs at the hospital and for me the visits we had when he worked for Ross Veitch delivering gas to our Marina in Windermere. He and Joyce are together again. Know our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
