Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on November 14, 2017, at the age of 79. He leaves his beloved wife of 47 years Barbara and their son Kevin. David was the son of the late Elmore & Kaie Mortimer. Brother of Mary Yankowski (the late Michael), Leonard Mortimer (Donna), Lyle Mortimer (Lee), Peter (Rose) and the late Richard. Survived by sister-in-law Kathy. Dearly remembered by his nieces, nephew and many extended family and friends.
David was a respected builder for many years before cancer took control. He suffered for many years and today is at peace. His illness has taken its toll financially on his family and in lieu of flowers, the family as for your support to assist them in staying in the family home. The family would be eternally grateful for any donation to help with the household expenses. A sincere thank you to Bev & Drew, Nurse Cathy, PSW staff Bev, Pam & Janet. At this time, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In the coming weeks, please come visit the family, to offer you condolences and support.
