Condolences

Condolence From: June Field
Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I met Janet in the 1980's when I was invited to join the Gourmet Dinner group with friends on Strathallan including her great school friend Ruth Lunan. She was always ready for some fun and I enjoyed knowing her.
I know from her e-mails how thankful she was to have her three girls and their families and, of course, Helmut, a great source of strength.
Thinking of you all and hoping that all your good memories will help you through this difficult time.Sincerely JuneField

Condolence: We were saddened to hear the news of Janet’s death.
Jan and Helmut were such good neighbours to our parents Mary and Howie Howald in Honey Harbour, and latterly to Howie when he carried on alone at his cottage after our mother’s death. Many good times were shared and we remember fondly the boat trips and the meals on the upper deck. What a lovely person Janet was. We remember her happiness, humour and positive outlook. Helmut, we are sending you and Janet’s family our sincere sympathy.

Condolence: Dear Heather

I was sorry to hear about your mother. It sounds like she had a wonderful life but it always leaves a big hole when they are gone.

Condolence: What a remarkable life Janet lived. From St Clemend's in Toronto to Honey Harbour and the Royal Hotel, married to our good friend Paul Macey, then three daughters, weddings, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her support of the HH community. Then the loss of Paul, finding a new life with Helmut as well as her heroic battle with Parkinson's....Janet you were so admired and loved, you will always be remembered, may you now rest in peace!!

Condolence From: Marilyn Grise'
Condolence: Bless all Janet,s family at this sad time. I last saw Janet at Margaret,s funeral in Barrie. So good to have that visit in Barrie. I remember ski doo trips with Janet. Mostly I remember being in church in Honey Harbour when I was a little girl and seeing this gorgeous couple coming into church. He was so handsome that young Paul and she so very pretty. Janet told me about working at the Royal when about 17 for Uncle Phil Grise'. She gave me a picture of what it was like at the Royal that summer. Cousin Rick Grise' had a big summer crush on Janet but was too young and Paul captured her heart that summer. May the heavens rejoice and welcome her. We are all richer for having known Janet. Sincerely,Marilyn(Meg) Grise'.

My sympathies on the loss of your precious mom & grandmother. Even though I only saw her on a few occasions the conversations were always lively & delightful. She was a classy lady who looked after herself & enjoyed life.
Take care of each other as you mourn her loss & treasure your memories.
Hugs Laurie

Condolence From: Mike Milner
Condolence: Please accept sincere condolences from the Milner family. Having grown up with Janet, Paul, Kathie, Heather and Elizabeth I have many fond memories of times shared together. My mother is especially saddened, as she and Janet spent so much time together when their families were filled with young children. I always held Janet in very high regard, and I am sure that she will be sincerely missed by all of us who were so fortunate to have known her.
