Condolence From: John & Linda Kelly
Condolence: It is definitely going to be very hard to pass by Pick's house & not see him in his garage or sitting in the shade of the tree on his lawn in the summer. He was a great employee for many, many years at MacNaughton's Hardware - there wasn't anything in the store that he couldn't tell you about. His 40 + years as a volunteer with the Bracebridge Fire Dept. will not soon be forgotten and will always be cherished. In anything Pick did, he gave it his all and did so in his friendly & unassuming manner. RIP Pick!

Condolence: I will miss pouring Don a coffee at the firehall, hearing the stories of the fire department in years gone by and his easy going manner. Pick made me feel welcome when I first joined the department, to be accepted by a 40+ year veteran so amicably was a great relief! In a world where we look up to so many empty "heroes" it was nice knowing a man who exemplified dedication and who mentored so many. I'm not sure where firefighters go in the next step, but I'm sure Don will be there swapping stories, making friends. Rest in Peace Don.

Condolence: How sad to learn that a long time member of our community has passed. Don always had a friendly wave and smile for all. His time working with McNaughton's Hardware and his dedication to being a fire fighter for the Town will be remembered by many of us. His presence will be missed.

Condolence: Mr. Pickles on Dill St. We are going to miss waving to him as we drove by and him waving back. Those shiny trucks thro the years changed to a shiny scooter but we still saw him driving around or sitting in his lawn chair under a tree.
rest in peace Mr. Pickles

Condolence: A shy guy with a unique sense of humour and a sunny disposition. This was 'PICK'.
Many will remember him from his working days on Manitoba Street, first in groceries then later in the hardware store.
When I was a young man he taught me lots around the firehall and that included how to operate the pumper. We are all thankful for his many years of service to the Bracebridge Fire Department.
He had an affinity for clocks and some of his retirement was spent refurbishing and giving new life to old and interesting clocks. It provided him with hours of entertainment .
We are all going to miss 'PICK'.
