I am saddened to say that my wonderful Grandma, Norma Georgina Longhurst (nee O'Brien), died on Sunday November 20.
In her 90 years she lived an interesting and fulfilling life. She taught me a lot about cooking, baking, farming (especially about my favourite cows), patience, and believing in myself. I am grateful that I got to have her as my grandmother. I cherish the memories of us travelling to Nashville to visit my cousin Deric and family. Sunday dinners at her house. Playing crokinole. Having tea parties on the veranda. Lots more memories and stories too.
She will be greatly missed by me as well as my sister Holly and her children Edward, William, Petra, and Ursula. I am glad that she was able to meet her great-grandchildren. This summer my sister and family were visiting us. Holly and I mentioned my Grandma and my nephew Edward pipes up and says her name is Great-Grandma not Grandma. So cute.
We miss and love you Grandma / Great-Grandma. Say hi to Grandpa for us.
