Thank you...
For teaching me how to ride a horse and paddle a canoe properly.
For encouraging me to swim to the rock. And when I got older, paddle beside me as I swam much farther distances.
For practising with me when I tried to make the softball team in grade 8.
For teaching me to appreciate nature in all her glory, to respect the environment and understand what a precarious scale it is. Long before it was cool.
For introducing me to Simone and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens and Joni Mitchell.
For sharing your knowledge, your encouragement and smile.
For bestowing upon me your white light, and it is so wonderfully bright.
From babysitting me, through my own grand parenting, you have guided, comforted, advised, cautioned... loved. You have been my Webster's, my Dr. Spock, my Dear Abby and frequently my compass. Thank you for that. Words can not express how grateful I am that my father fell in love with you and you with him. Thank you for giving me 3 wonderful step brothers who I know you are so proud of. They are truly amazing men!
Most of all, Thank you for making my father happy for 38+ years. I will be eternally grateful to have had you in my life. RIP Dear Zi.
